Hamilton Area Council Meeting Monday July 6th 5:30pm LOCATION: VIRTUAL MEETING TO BE HELD BY VIDEO AND/OR TELECONFERENCE. PARTICIPANTS MUST RSVP! Please join us (or send a representative from your local) for our next Hamilton Area Council meeting. We will be discussing several important items including:

"Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Hamilton Area Council meeting scheduled for May 4th has been cancelled. A determination will be made at a later date of whether or not to hold a makeup meeting or to proceed with our meeting scheduled for July 6th."

Please join us for our next Hamilton Area Council meeting which will be our annual general meeting. Please note that elections will be held at this annual general meeting for the following positions on the executive of the council: President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer As per the Hamilton Area Council by-laws (by-law 5, section 4) only accredited delegates and officers of the Hamilton Area Council are eligible to vote. Delegates are as per Hamilton Area Council's by-law 3, section 1:   (a) two accredited voting delegates for the first 500 members and one additional delegate for each additional 500 members or major portion thereof from each Component Local or Branch and DCL in the HAMILTON Area who shall be appointed delegates from their Local/Branch; and/or (b) one rep from each of the Regional Women’s Committees and constitutionally-recognized regional committees Non-voting PSAC members are still welcome to attend the meeting, they just will not be eligible to vote if they're not a delegate. Local presidents as well as presidents of the Regional Women's Committee and constitutionally-recognized regional committees must confirm who their delegates are no later than 10PM on Sunday March 1, 2020 by sending an e-mail to hamiltonareacouncil@gmail.com. Any resolutions for changes to the Hamilton Area Council by-laws must also be submitted by this date to the same e-mail address. Copies of the current by-laws are available on request. Nominations can be made at the meeting by a nominator and seconder or in writing before the meeting. If made in writing the nominator and seconder must both sign the nomination letter and forward by e-mail to either of the below nominations committee members no later than 10PM on Sunday March 1, 2020:   Mariam Hanhan - marmin@hotmail.com Bob Black - bblack4@coegeco.ca     Please RSVP and forward any additional agenda items you may have to hamiltonareacouncil@gmail.com no later than Friday February 28th.
