Remembrance Day

On November 11th we commemorate Remembrance Day by reflecting on the sacrifices made by those who have served and the many that have lost their lives.

The horrors of war can leave veterans with medical, emotional and psychological trauma that impacts upon families and communities. Our government has a duty to take care of our veterans, as they have served our country and protected our freedom.

I am honoured to say that working with veterans and advocacy groups, that we have been able to get the government to commit to opening all 9 Veterans Affairs Canada offices that were previously closed by the Conservative government.

In Ontario, this means that veterans in Windsor and Thunder Bay will soon have access to case workers in their community, and will no longer need to travel hours to the next closest Veterans Affairs office.

In Solidarity,
