2013 Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC)

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It’s that time of the year again!

We are looking for one (1) person to work as a sponsored employee for the United Way Campaign, also known as the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC).

PSAC Ontario Council member Souad Soubra is the Labour Co-Chair.  Over the next few weeks, Souad will be accepting applications for those members interested in becoming a Sponsored Employee.

If you have experience working on the United Waycampaign or have worked as an Employee Campaign Chair (ECC); it would be a great asset (but not a necessity). Communication skills are very important in this role.

It is an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and to see how other departments work.  We will only be contacting those individuals who will be invited to participate in interviews probably in June.

You will need to obtain pre-approval from you manager to be released from your regular duties, and such approval should accompany your application with a resume.

You would be seconded to Service Canada for the period in question – between August 2013 and December 2013 while continuing to accumulate all your benefits and entitlements.  You would continue to be paid at your current rate of pay.

If you are interested and would like additional information, please e-mail Souad at: Sue.soubra@yahoo.com

In Solidarity,

Souad (Sue) Soubra, PSAC OntarioCouncil Member

and

Sharon DeSousa, PSAC Regional Executive Vice-President - Ontario
