Pride celebrations are meant to unite and engage the public by empowering, educating and supporting the LGBTQ community. Pride also provides the space to promote a positive image of the community and to set an example for acceptance and love throughout our region and beyond.
There are many upcoming Pride events scheduled for 2016, and having attended previous events over the last several years in Toronto, London, Barrie, Hamilton and Windsor, I’d like to emphasize that the presence of PSAC members are recognized and appreciated.
I hope that many of you will take the opportunity to show your PSAC Pride while participating in an event in your community this year and celebrate the strength of diversity.
