Kingston – On April 26, 2019, the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) will be holding mass information pickets at both Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Kingston and Collins Bay Institution concerning ongoing bargaining frustrations.
What: Mass Information Pickets
When: Friday, April 26, 2019
Where: - CFB Kingston (26 Somme Ave.) starting at 5 a.m. and
- Collins Bay Institution (1455 Bath Road) at 6 a.m.
PSAC members are still waiting to get paid properly under Phoenix, and they are still waiting, after three years, to be compensated for all the hardships they have endured because of these countless pay problems.
“This government has promised to respect its public service workers, yet has shown them complete disregard at the bargaining table,” says Sharon DeSousa, PSAC Ontario Regional Executive Vice-President. “We are tired of waiting, it’s time the Prime Minister fulfil his promise and offer a fair contract now.”
Please be advised that due to these actions, there may be delays on Highways 2 and 15 around CFB Kingston and the Royal Military College and also on Bath Road near Collins Bay Institution.
