Sault Ste Marie – Workers at the Ontario Lottery and Gaming corporation (OLG) headquarters in Sault Ste Marie are attempting to achieve a fair first collective agreement.
The Local joined the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) last year, and negotiations are reaching a critical point. PSAC filed for conciliation on May 3rd and we are currently waiting the appointment of a conciliation officer to assist negotiations going forward.
To continue to support negotiations workers will be holding a rally at city hall.
- What: Rally to Support Fair Bargaining
- When: Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at 12:30 pm
- Where: City Hall (99 Foster Dr, Sault Ste. Marie, ON)
“We are working to protect jobs in the Soo; good jobs with benefits that are threatened due to the OLG’s privatization plans”, states Sharon DeSousa, PSAC Ontario Regional Executive Vice-President. “This rally will continue that pressure on the OLG as we work towards a fair agreement”.
