Updates

The Kingston division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires walked away from the bargaining table and filed for conciliation on March 12, 2015, and now are headed towards conciliation talks with PSAC. There are many issues still left to be resolved, but the top priority for members of Local 818 is paid sick leave.

April 8, 2015 marks “International Day of Pink”. The original event began in Nova Scotia when two heterosexual High School students saw a gay student being bullied because he was wearing a pink shirt. They decided to buy pink shirts and a few days later got everyone at their High School to wear a pink shirt and stand together in solidarity and unite in celebrating diversity.
