Toronto – The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Toronto Pride Committee will be hosting a discussion panel on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans refugees coming to Canada on World Refugee Day.

Sarnia –The federal Conservative government’s latest budget implementation Bill C-59, Division 20, undermines the collective bargaining rights of federal public service workers.

The Supreme Court has already established the right to collective bargaining as a Charter right, a right that is being violated should Bill C-59 become law.

Workers in Sarnia will be holding pickets on June 2, 2015 to urge the government to reverse course and respect the Charter rights of workers.

Windsor – Today Prime Minister Stephen Harper heads to Windsor, where he'll join Public Works Minister Diane Finley and local MP Jeff Watson for a "roundtable" at a local hotel.

The event will be closed off to media and the public; a trend of inaccessibility and lack of transparency this government has become known for.

PSAC members, along with members from UNIFOR, CUPE and the Windsor District Labour Council will be picketing outside the hotel over the government’s latest omnibus budget bill.

After 18 months of negotiations, postdoctoral fellows at Queen’s University ratified their first collective agreement yesterday evening.
